Five Digit National ZIP Code Map
This is the only product of its type available
on the Internet and is a must for every sales and marketing
office. Including the cover map, the standard product consists of 91
42" x 30" printed pages (nearly 800 square feet). Each
page is plotted on high quality, 24lb bright white paper.
The first page of this product is a grid
index. It clearly shows the boundaries and labels for all
states, counties, and larger cities and towns. The grid consists
of vertical letters and horizontal numbers and runs from A1 to I10
(ten pages across and nine pages down). If you only need
specific pages from this project, see here.

See a full PDF of the grid index page here
(5.5MB. Will take a significant amount of time to download and
show). The grid index allows you to quickly find the cities or
counties of interest and go to the appropriate page or pages.
Each individual page shows the following
layers: cities and town boundaries and labels, county boundaries and
labels, five digit ZIP Code boundaries and labels, major roads and
labels, and major water features. Page B1 (see grid above) spans
part of the Washington-Oregon border and includes the Portland Metro
Area is available for preview here in PDF
format (1.5MB). Since the map is nearly 3 1/2 feet wide, you
will need to Zoom in when viewing the PDF to see the individual
features in detail.

You can request that we send you several
free sample pages from the National Five Digit ZIP Code Map by using
this form. We will include sample maps at all four sizes, so
that you can compare and decide which size is best for you.
While our national map sets can be rolled and
stored efficiently, your selection of page size should be guided in
part by the amount and size of desk space available to you. Our
national products are shipped with the left margin bound using Chicago
style screws (below), which can be easily unbound. If you have
sufficient work space, you can assemble several pages edge to edge and
reassemble the pages into a single package for storage.

This product is exhaustively indexed in a
separate printed and bound book (the index book is printed separately
so that it can be placed on top of the large maps and used as a
reference. This avoids unnecessary page turns of the large stack
of maps). The base index is simply a 5 column per page index to
the locations of every 5 digit ZIP code (including ZIP Codes
associated only with P.O. Boxes) in the following format:
ZIP
Code Page X Coordinate, Y
Coordinate
01610 C10 259,753
inset A9 334,1678
01611 C10 229,767
inset A9 229,1739
01612 C10 191,728
inset A9 86,1593
01613* C10 259,742
01614* C10 259,742
ZIP Codes followed by an * indicate that the
ZIP Code is not associated with a range of street addresses (i.e.
represents a range of P.O. Boxes only or is another type of drop
point). ZIP Codes that appear in the regular map that also
appear in detail maps are marked accordingly and both pages and
precise coordinates are provided. The entire 132 page base ZIP
Code index is available here in PDF
format.
In addition to the base index, we also produce
a printed and electronic Census index to every ZIP Code and Populated
place in the coverage of your map. The printed index includes
the following information for every five digit ZIP Code present in the
2000 Census:
- ZIP Code
- USPS City Name
- USPS State Abbreviation
- Page Number
- X Coordinate
- Y Coordinate
- Inset Page Number and Coordinates
- Total Population in ZIP Code
- Median Household Income of ZIP Code
The pipe | delimited electronic index is much
more detailed and includes the columns listed here.
