| About SVG SVG (scalable vector
graphics) is a relatively new vector graphics format. It is
XML or text based and is supported by an increasing number
of software
applications.
SVG files can be opened directly into
Illustrator versions 10 or greater.
Our SVG files are fully vector and contain
no raster data (i.e. they do not lose resolution the more
you zoom in). They are fully layered and these layers
are fully maintained when the SVG file is imported into
Illustrator... you can modify your map a whole layer
at a time, turn layers on and off, etc.
Adobe provides a free download of its SVG
viewer here:
http://www.adobe.com/svg/
Which will work as a plug-in to your MS Explorer
Internet browser and allow you to view the files.
In addition to SVG, we are able to offer our
maps in many other vector formats, including PDF and
Illustrator.
